The application possibilities of our iron foils are extremely versatile. In Quick, an ordinary house wall or other plastic or non-magnetic surface becomes an adhesive surface that you can use for your neodymium or ferrite magnets. Ferrofoils for drawings: A must in any architectural office

The iron foil, also known as ferrofoil, not only houses smaller notes, but in conjunction with strong magnets is also a reliable primer for drawings. Here is your recently created building planning in various formats space. Even larger prints experience a secure grip in combination with somewhat thicker ferro-foils. For example, if your architectural or planning office works with Din A3 or Din A1 formats, we recommend a thicker adhesive film that has more iron particles in conjunction with our neodymium magnets. In contrast to ferrite magnets, neodymium magnets consist of the "neodymium" alloy of the same name, which is preferably used in magnet technology for super magnets. Neodymium is one of the "rare earths" and together with iron and boron it creates the strongest magnets in the world. Our golden rule is that the larger the size of your drawing, the higher the adhesion of our films and magnets must be. Basically, super magnets are equipped with twice as much energy as conventional magnets. In the product descriptions, you can quickly see if the back side of the film is self-adhesive and what material (such as PVC) is the front side.

Cut magnetic foils yourself - is that even possible?

Our ferrofoils and magnetic tapes are extremely flexible due to their small thickness. Therefore, the foils can also be designed in a flash according to their needs. Cut out your favorite shape with a pair of conventional scissors or a craft knife. The iron foils are easy to cut, as the front is made of matt PVC film and the back of also easily cut self-adhesive material. Our rectangular magnetic films can be easily put into very different patterns. For the uncomplicated work on the cutting manual skills are not required. If you buy our iron foil as roll goods, pay attention to the appropriate roll width for your project.

What properties must my primer for ferrofoils bring?

Our films are primarily used on non-magnetic substrates. A smooth texture of the substrate is an advantage. But with the help of our special adhesives, you can also apply the back of the ferrofoil to unruly surfaces or materials that conventional adhesives fail. Worth mentioning here are our high-performance superglues, which reliably bond porous materials such as cork, rubber or coarser wood with your new ferrofoil. Many of our films are already equipped with a self-adhesive backing. So it is sufficient to remove the protective film on the back of the film and you can attach the film on its non-magnetic adhesive base
