SmCo pot magnet (samarium cobalt) with cylindrical hole and stainless steel housing

How the samarium-cobalt pot magnets with stainless steel pot work: A SmCo magnet is built into a turned stainless steel pot. This metal housing protects the SmCo magnet from damage and increases the adhesive force. In order to be able to achieve an optimal adhesive force, the pot magnet must lie directly on the metallic substrate. A thin sheet of iron or a coating can very quickly reduce the adhesive force. The adhesive force only acts on the open magnet side, as the steel pot shields the magnetic effect.
Special feature: The magnetic plate is fastened here using a Torx or Allen screw, for example. The screw can be screwed in flush in the central hole and the magnet can be screwed securely to the wall / ceiling. Metallic counterparts then adhere magnetically to this pot magnet. Thanks to the combination with the SmCo magnet and a stainless steel pot, the magnet can be used up to a temperature of 350 ° C.
If the temperature is not higher than 80 ° C, we recommend the cheaper neodymium pot magnets with cylinder bore.
